Shoot one: Reflection and Evaluation

During shoot one on 16th January 2010 we filmed the shots of the feet walking, we shot in Gerrards Cross high street and in the surrounding area. Whilst filming we decided that some shots of the windows would be good to include as it separates parts of the sequence and it shows the person being watched, this links into the 'Paranoia' theme of the film. We also tried filming in the dark to see what kind of light it produced; I think it works nicely with the thriller genre. We had also previously filmed the 360 degree shot in school, using random extras found around school; we are planning on editing this so that you can only see the mouths.

We used Andy Johnson as our main character, we chose him as he has long legs which are appropriate for this part as the shots are mainly of the feet. He also has dark hair and quite an innocent looking face in which portrays the main character in our film.

In the following clip we put together all the unedited clips of the shots that worked and that we are most likely to use in our film. These shots worked because the camera work was better; majority of the shots need work due to the unsteady camera work, this means that we will have to re-shoot most of the shots. We plan on cutting them down and taking if not all, most of the sound off so you can't hear the talking and background diegetic sound. Even though these shots are the best from shoot one they still need to be improved a lot, majority of the reasons are the camera work.
